Heather Menzies (Louisa)
 Heather Menzies, had been married to actor Robert Urich for 25 years and lived in California. they have three children: Ryan, 23, Emily, 21, and adopted four-year-old, Alison. Heather was 14 when she played Louisa. "I met the real Maria von Trapp when she was an extra in the film, and I met my character, who's called Maria in real life, on the Oprah Winfrey show. She's a sweet person. She didn't look like me, but she was wearing a dirndl, the traditional Austrian skirt, and she invited us to the von Trapp family ski lodge in Vermont."
